Eric Chesnais, born in 1966, lives and works in Paris. After receiving his degree in marketing and business, he first worked for the French Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan before joining the Danone Company. Desirous to explore his artistic and entrepreneurial inclinations, Eric left Danone to open an art gallery promoting young talents (illustrators, graphic designers, painters). Then, after five years, Eric joined the Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette, leading the creation of Lafayette Maison, their flagship department store for House and Design. In 2008, he joined the luxury LVMH group where he leads the European Visual Merchandising team at Louis Vuitton.

Passionate about the Visual Arts (photography, illustration, graphic design, architecture) Eric Chesnais looks at reality with a prism of his own. To keep his marketing edge in the ever-changing world of luxury fashion, he is a relentless observer. Curious, collector of unusual objects, gatherer of pictures and ideas, photographer, he is also a vibrant witness of the cultural environment. Highly aware of the stimulation effects of his visual surrounding, he likes giving and sharing his own interpretation of reality. Urban design and the game of unexpected situations fascinate him. He likes to capture the essence of a place or a situation taking it to an offbeat, humorous and personal view.

His passion for the taxi developed over the course of his many trips around the world. In this special car, he was able to see a wealth of subconscious visual references ready to be revealed.
